The time sure does go by quick. I hope all of ya'll are finding more
new stuff than I am. There are tons of new cars coming out right now,
but they just don't seem to be finding their way into my area. Maybe
our luck is about to change. Starting June 6, all Toys R' Us stores
are supposed to be holding a Hot Wheels blowout. There should be plenty
of '99 cars available then. Speaking of '99 cars, be on the lookout
for Mattel's latest set, 1999 Final Run Edition. This is the last casting
of 12 popular models. Mattel has decided to give these cars a proper
farewell with this limited edition set. Cars will be packaged similar
to the 30th Anniversary set. Each model features a detailed paint job
and real rider tires. Retail is $5.99 each. You can see that

For those of you who enjoy limited editions, there is a new Navy Seals VW
Bus coming out. It is limited to 30,000. I saw a picture of it
and it looks great. You can order them from

Time for another update. More Hot Wheels have come out in the past
month. 1999 First Editions 1-9 are out now. 1999 collector numbers
seem to be coming out all of the time. One of the coolest ones I have
seen is #1000 '59 Impala. I can't seem to keep up with everything that
is coming out right now, but I will do my best. If you've been keeping
up with the 98 FEs recently, the Go Kart has been on the rise in popularity
and in the price guides. It seems that it was made in fewer numbers
than some of the others. It may soon surpass the Super Modified as
King of the 98 FEs. That's all the news for now.

I guess you've been wondering where the updates to this section went. Me
too. Actually I've been spending most of my time working on the other
parts of this web site. A lot of things have been going on since I last did
an update. I will just stick with the most recent. The 1999 releases
are in full swing now. You can find First Editions #1-#5 although #4
and #5 are still pretty hard to find. The first four Treasure Hunts
are also out now. Keep an eye out for the 99 Series cars. The
Street Art #3 & #4 seem to be the hardest to find right now. Mattel
is also releasing some cool collector numbers this year. Particularly
#994 (Way 2 Fast) and #996 ('32 Ford Delivery). You can check them
